Answers to several questions

Several people have asked me about the price of the puppies and if they can put a deposit. Also when they can come and see the puppies.
The puppies will be competitively priced. I will be contacting all of you who have emailed me at the end of next week to see if you are still interested, if you are then I will require a NONE REFUNDABLE deposit of £100. (this will be on a first come first served basis)
The puppies will be available for you to come and see from 15th November, by then they will be starting to show their personalities and characters.

a taste of what you have to look forward to !!

Another good day

The puppies are all doing VERY well and Amber Is proving once again what a good Mummy she is.
I spent ages putting paper collars on to all the puppies to try and identify them but next time I checked on them Amber had take all but one off!
My camera has given up the ghost, so I am having to use my son's and I haven't quite got the hang of it just yet, so no new pictures today sorry.

About the Daddy

This is a picture of Charlie who is a dog puupy from the last litter ,he is about 6 months old in this photo
I have had several people email me asking about the puppies Daddy, so here goes
I am trying to organize time to go and take some picture of Daddy but I am sort of tied to the house for the next couple of weeks, but I can tell you that he is a small apricot miniature poodle who is owned by a breeder friend of mine. He is about 3 now his name is Mac, he lives in the house with her family and has a loverly temperament.
All of the puppies are doing really well feeding ,sleeping and crying when Amber leaves them, not that she leaves them for long so far all she has managed is 5 minuets in the garden this morning while I was hanging out the washing.
I am not taking any more reservations for Bitch puppies, as there are only 2 bitches and I already have 2 people interested. If by any chance one of them changes their mind I will let you know.

Surprise !!

Well Amber certainly did give me a nice Surprise, last night when I put her out for a "wee" I counted the puppies and number 7 had arrived. At least 4 hours after the last one. I don't know how she managed that but I couldn't tell which was the "new arrival" so she had done a very good job.
They all had a good night and are feeding well.
I was up every 2 hours or so to check on them and to let Amber out.
The camera battery is now recharging so once that is done I will try and get individual pictures of all the puppies, I won't be able to do this if Amber starts to worry.
I have put some more of yesterdays pictures on to be going on with.

Sunday 25 October 2009

We have now had the 6th and last puppy , they all arrived over a 2.30 hour period 3 in 45 minuets then a break for an hour then the next 3. They all weigh between 265 and 340 grams so a good weight all round. Amber has had a drink of sweet puppy formular and been out into the garden to stretch her legs and to attend to a call of nature, as I type they are all snuggled up feeding.

5 puppies so far

So far Amber has safely delivered 5 healthy puppies with little or no help from me!!
They are all feeding ,moving and calling like "good un's" I will be back to post the picture once it is all over.

3 puppies so far

Amber has has 3 puppies in the last 45 mins. Of course I was out with the other dogs when the first one arrived and she had had number 2 by the time I got home.So far so good as yet I have no idea if they are boys or girls.
I will keep you posted.

THE PUPPIES ARE ARRIVING !!

Still No puppies

Well there are still No puppies, Amber is very restless this morning and didn't eat her dinner last night or want any breakfast this morning. She has been out in the garden or is laying along the back of the chair in the sun.

Friday 22nd October

Amber showing you her puppy filled tummy
Well still no puppies but Amber has been slowing down she didn't want to go out for her normal 1 hour walk yesterday so she has a quite day in the garden.
The book's say that I should be taking her temperature rectally every day (when her temperature falls then the birth should be within the next 24 hours) but when I tried she really didn't like it and struggled so I have decided not to put her through any more stress.

Hello from Amber and Karen a bit about our family

Hi
I thought that I would start this blog so that anyone who is interested in Amber's puppies can see how we are doing.
She was mated on the 29th and 30th of August and so should be due on 30th October but her last litter was a whole week early, I am expecting the same this time round as she is now looking "Fit to burst".
She was mated to a small apricot miniature poodle called Mac he is the same stud as last time so the puppies will be very similar to last time, apricot, cream or golden in colour with nice curly coats. These coats should be low shedding but I CAN'T GUARANTEE that.
We live in Cornwall 2 miles from the Eden Project with good walks just minutes away and the beach only 10 minuets away.
The puppies will be born in the lounge next to the T.V with the other dog's Ruby Ambers Mother and Max An honorary uncle to the puppies and Sky(the cat) Ambers best friend also helping. This will mean that the puppies are well socialized and used to all the every day noises and comings and goings of a busy household.
